OUR APPROACH
The Pregnancy Help Center welcomes all women who need assistance in carrying their pregnancies to term. We extend to them the love of Jesus Christ, and a genuine concern for their physical, emotional, and spiritual well being. Our trained volunteer counselors help our clients make decisions which are truely in their interest, and for the good of their unborn children. Clients are often followed through to delivery and beyond.
OUR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
Each of our clients is handled in a sensitive, confidential, individual way. Many clients contact the Pregnancy Help Center by calling in response to our Yellow Pages phone ad, or to a referral from a church or community help organization. Other clients merely drop in. All clients’ needs are promptly addressed.
THE INTERVIEW
Each client is interviewed by a qualified volunteer counselor who decides what steps should be taken.
• PREGNANCY TEST
A free pregnancy test is administered. Within a few minutes the client knows whether or not she is pregnant. If not pregnant, she is counseled on abstinence and sexually transmitted diseases.
• COUNSELING PREGNANT WOMEN
The largest part of the Center’s work is counseling and following up on pregnant women. The biological details of pregnancy are covered and illustrated with photos, fetal models, and videos. The many health hazards of abortion are explained.
• PRO-LIFE VIDEOS
If the client agrees, some excellent videos on abortion are presented. Some videos reveal the brutal means by which unborn babies are killed. This prompts many women to choose life.
• FOLLOW UP
Women who go through the counseling process are carefully followed up on the phone. All of the Center’s efforts are directed to a firm client decision to bear her child, then raise her child or arrange an adoption.
• SPIRITUAL COUNSELING
Whenever the client is accessible to spiritual counseling, the biblical position on abortion is presented, and a witness to Jesus Christ is given. Many clients have made commitments to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
