He is no stranger to controversy, often crossing the dividing lines and knocking down walls that have separated the body of Christ. He has sailed many an uncharted course during the past 32 years. JUDY HOWARD has been involved in pro-life ministry since 1973 (30 years). She is an experienced conference speaker and teacher. As the director of His Nesting Place, Mrs. Judy has gained experience and wisdom as a counselor to women in crisis. To the residents of His Nesting Place she fills the role of a mother figure. Many of the women who live in the home have never had a close loving relationship with their natural mother; Mrs. Judy fills that void in their lives with tenderness and compassion. This woman of God indeed wears many hats and she wears them all well. DR. DON SMITH has been active in the pro-life cause for over 30 years. In 1970, he founded Crusade for Life, a non-profit ministry with the objective of reaching the churches with the pro-life message. In 1984, through his own film company, American Portrait Films, Dr. Smith produced “The Silent Scream”, featuring Dr. Bernard Nathanson and his now famous ultrasound abortion tape. Later, Dr. Smith went on to produce “Your Crisis Pregnancy”, a video for pregnant young women, introduced by Dr. James Dobson, as well as the first conservative film on euthanasia, “The Right to Kill”, narrated by William F. Buckley, Jr. Dr. Smith is also a faithful church member and sidewalk counselor of His Nesting Place. MISS ANNE FRANCZEK accepted Christ at age 15. After graduating from college she worked as a social worker for ten years for the state of Florida. In 1990, she began full time pro-life work as an assistant director of a maternity home. Since then she has worked in rescue, sidewalk counseling and crisis pregnancy ministry. She has spent three years as the director of His Nesting Place Pregnancy Help Center, and currently directs the sidewalk counseling outside of our local abortion clinic. --> Pastor DOUG KING has been a Christian since 1980. However, it wasn’t until 1994 that he really saw the horror of abortion. He was attending a church in Bellflower, CA when Pastor Al Howard came and preached at one of their services. God spoke to him and “broke” his heart about abortion. He knew then that he had to do something to rescue the poor, innocent babies that were being aborted. He soon became involved with His Nesting Place Ministries. Since that time, he has volunteered at the Pregnancy Help Center, does sidewalk counseling on a regular basis, preaches against abortion, and speaks in Catholic and Protestant churches. He is the Assistant Pastor of Nesting Place Ministries as a missionary to the unborn. God has given him a “voice” to speak about abortion and also to warn young people. MISS DEBBIE JASPER has been with His Nesting Place for over seven years. However, she has known Pastor Al and Judy for many, many years and actually sang at their wedding in 1979. In 1988 she had turned her back on her marriage and on God. By 1993 she had lost almost all her belongings and two jobs. She was now living in her car and this lasted until October 1995. Her car was taken and she realized she was at the bottom. “Doing life” her way hadn’t gotten her anywhere. In October 1995 she moved into His Nesting Place. Within four months she felt the call to become a missionary to the unborn. Two years later in 1997 she became a house manager. Debbie is available to give her testimony and also to sing in your church. (She has a beautiful voice). MISS SHEILA BARNES has known Pastor Al since 1980, serving in his church. Having been a struggling, single mother with six small children (her husband abandoned her), she has a heart for single mothers to succeed. She is loving and patient as she serves as a “grandmother house manager”. Her presence brings a calming and soothing atmosphere, which encourages all our mothers. She is truly a great intercessor as well. She speaks from her heart with a powerful anointing.
